12:15 p.m.: Police are reporting multiple injuries and calling for additional ambulances. South Highland and South Boulevard are closed.

BREAKING: @CbsNewYork: Fire Dept: Major gas explosion inside bldg at #Nyack College in NY; people trapped

NYACK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Emergency responders are on the scene of an explosion in the interior of a building at Nyack College, according to the Nyack Fire Department.

Fire officials say it appears to be a major gas explosion. Video from the scene shows windows and doors that appear to have been blown out from the building and debris scattered around outside.
Multiple people were believe to have been trapped, but officials say everyone who was inside at the time of the blast has been accounted for, CBS 2?s Jim Smith reported.
