Central West Gold drill program in central NSW returns significant intersections

Central West Gold (ASX: CWG) and partner Fisher Resources Pty Limited have returned several very interesting intersections from drilling results from the Mt Solitary prospect located in central New South Wales.

This prospect is the most advanced target, located just 3.5 kilometres south east of the township of Mt Hope.

Originally, eight drillholes totalling 1,540 metres of RC drilling were designed as priority holes for a first round of drilling at Mt Solitary, based on accessibility and potential to achieve program objectives.

During the program from 5 March to 29 April 2013, seven RC drill holes were completed for a total of 1,362 metres.

Gold assay results have defined several significant intersections, including:

- 6m at 8.24 g/t gold (from 148 metres downhole depth)
- 4m at 9.98 g/t Au from 49m
- 9m at 2.60 g/t Au from 165m

Central West would take significant encouragement from the results obtained from the 2013 drilling program which have proven to have  very high gold grades, validating previous drilling that highlighted high grade gold shoots.
