Muslim Brotherhood Spiritual Leader Voices Support for Obama’s Syria Strike Plan
While he faces enormous challenges convincing Congress and European allies to green light a military strike on Syria, President Barack Obama’s plan is being welcomed by one unexpected voice.
Sheikh Yousef al-Qaradawi, the influential Muslim cleric known for supporting suicide bombings, has come out in support of a U.S. military strike against the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, because “We [Muslims] do not have such power.”
In a Friday sermon broadcast on Qatar TV, Qaradawi said that the Muslim world does not have the ability to launch a deadly strike on Assad’s government; therefore, American intervention in this case wouldn’t be such a bad thing.

General: Obama's backing wrong Syrian rebels
President Obama is unlikely to take any military action against Syria that will actually make a difference, but his administration is actively backing the radical Muslim Brotherhood and al-Qaida elements of the rebellion while leaving the Free Syrian Army high and dry, warns retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely.
Vallely consults with military leaders of the Free Syrian Army and recently returned from a trip to Turkey that also included a heavily guarded trip to the rebel stronghold of Aleppo. He was in the region when the apparent chemical weapons attack took place.

Syrian Woman to McCain: Stop Supporting Al Qaeda!
“Right now, no one’s denying there’s a lot of atrocities being committed in Syria, whether on the rebel side or the other side.” That began a passionate plea from a Syrian Christian woman to John McCain at a town hall meeting on Thursday. In her two and a half minute discussion, she explained the plight of Syrian Christians, Al Qaida’s involvement with the country’s rebel forces, and offered an alternative way to stop the bloodshed in the country. McCain’s response, however, addressed none of the issues the woman raised.

What is the Obama-backed Free Syrian Army?
As weapons and supplies funded by U.S. taxpayers pour into Syria in a bid to help Western-backed Islamist rebels take down the Assad regime, the Obama administration and its apologists continue to insist that the aid is meant to bolster “moderate” or even “secular” opposition fighters. Among the most frequent entities mentioned as worthy of U.S. government support is the so-called Free Syrian Army — an Islamist-dominated outfit overseen by a Syrian military defector that helps distribute military weaponry and other goods provided by the Obama administration, Western governments, and a coalition of Islamist dictators hoping to unseat their secular counterpart in Damascus.
The outfit’s main selling point appears to be that, as opposed to the more effective fighting forces in Syria, the Free Syrian Army is not technically al-Qaeda. But what is the Free Syrian Army, really? No two analysts have the same answer. To some, the Free Syrian Army is the group that sent a spokesperson to tell the world that it was preparing an ethnic cleansing program targeting Shia Muslims and Alawites. Among warmongers, especially American "neocons" such as Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and the Obama administration, the FSA is touted as a heroic organization that should be propped up even more heavily than it is — even after McCain’s “moderate” FSA rebels turned out to be kidnappers. To others, the “army” is really an “army in name only.”
