BREAKING! “Suspicious Package” Pressure Cooker Found Near Gas Pumps Shuts Down Shopping Center

Pressure cooker found near gas pump prompts bomb scare in Everett Police want to know who left a pressure cooker next to a gas station pump in Everett this morning, the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The Everett Police Department sent a bomb squad in to investigate the device at a gas station near a Fred Meyer on the Bothell-Everett Highway around 5:45 a.m.

The squad cleared the scene around 8 a.m. when it was determined that the pressure cooker was harmless. “Someone just set it next to the pumps to make everyone scared,” said Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell. Pressure cookers have been used to create homemade bombs, including the ones that killed three and seriously injured more than 200 at the Boston Marathon earlier this year. Snell said detectives will be looking at surveillance camera footage to try to determine who left the pressure cooker at the gas station.Source
