Obama`s Favorite Playground: The Constitution

A few days ago, the Obama Administration finally gave an official response to all those who signed the secession petition in Texas. A big, fat NO. Not that anyone expected a different response… But what caught my attention was the reason behind the refusal: it`s unconstitutional.

“In a nation of 300 million people — each with their own set of deeply-held beliefs — democracy can be noisy and controversial. And that’s a good thing. Free and open debate is what makes this country work, and many people around the world risk their lives every day for the liberties we often take for granted.

But as much as we value a healthy debate, we don’t let that debate tear us apart.

Our founding fathers established the Constitution of the United States “in order to form a more perfect union” through the hard and frustrating but necessary work of self-government. They enshrined in that document the right to change our national government through the power of the ballot — a right that generations of Americans have fought to secure for all. But they did not provide a right to walk away from it.” (www.tmdailypost.com)

First things first: the opening paragraph is so propagandistic, it makes me sick. Democracy can be noisy and controversial… Well, judging by Obama`s reckless decisions, I`m sure he actually believes this with all his being. However, that`s NOT “a good thing”. Especially when he talks so freely about concepts like “free and open debate”, which he knows absolutely nothing about. Why otherwise would he go signing secret bills that affect ALL Americans, without consulting them first? Oh, unless he`s a two-faced S.O.B…

Ever since he became president in 2008, he`s been doing nothing more than double talk. Shamelessly. And this official response to Texas is yet another evidence: he`s using the Constitution like it`s his own private notebook. Whenever something`s not convenient for him, he completely ignores it or twists it like a puppet… On the other hand, the Constitution can become his best friend in the world when it can support his decisions.

If we follow this logic, Americans have the responsibility to respect the Constitution,  but do not have the right to be protected by it

Which leads me to the gun control issue. You`re probably tired of reading, hearing and watching news about it, but the way Obama has been playing this game is so insidious, it`s frightening.

Here`s a snippet from a CNN article that shows it even better than I could explain it:

“Republicans immediately rejected the Obama proposals as an attack on the constitutional right to bear arms.

“President Obama is targeting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens instead of seriously addressing the real underlying causes of such violence.” “

And this is how Obama responded:

“Obama called accusations that he seeks to violate gun rights untrue, saying opponents want to wage a campaign of intimidation and fear instead of working with him for needed changes.

“We can respect the Second Amendment while keeping an irresponsible law-breaking few from inflicting harm on a massive scale,” he said.”

So, kids, what do we learn from this? When you don`t respect other people`s rights, needs and wants, blame the sacred Constitution for not allowing you to do so. And then, when you`re accused of not giving a damn about the Constitution, blame your opponents of anti-American behaviour. You`re anti-surveillance? You must be a terrorist! You`re anti-NDAA? You`ve clearly got something to hide… You`re probably a terrorist.  You want to secede from the Union? Well, you already know the answer to that.

Now, I`ve got to admit. The guys responsible for Obama`s public appearances… not bad at all. They master manipulation better than Yoda could use the Force. However, every scam has its “moment of truth”. The grand reveal. And Obama`s scams are not far from that moment. And I don`t know about you, but I will be all prepped with popcorn and 3D glasses and I`ll be enjoying every single second of it!
