FedEx Expects Monday To Be The Busiest Day In Their History

It has been reported that the shipping company expects a total of about 20 million packages to be shipped today.

“What we’re actually expecting over the next 24 hours is about 20 million pounds of traffic,” said John Dunavant of FedEx VP Memphis World Hub.

With 300,000 team members onboard and a total of 20,000 extra, seasonal crew, FedEx Corporation (NYSE:FDX) is all set to process more than 200 packages per second, marking the day as a record-breaking day of their working history.

“At FedEx, we have been preparing for this busy holiday shipping season for almost a year now,” said FedEx executive vice president of Market Development, T. Michael Glenn, in a press release.
